We survived the Denver Blizzard of 2006. According to the news, this was the 4th worst storm ever recorded in the history of the Mile High City!!!! Even as we type this, Mother Nature still continues to bless us with snow. Well, at least we can say that a white Christmas is guaranteed. :) We were able to get out of the house on Friday and Saturday. We spent Friday finishing off the last-minute Christmas shopping that had been delayed a few days (we're not procrastinators). We also went to the movies and saw The Pursuit of Happyness. It was pretty good. Tracie even drew a tear or two. The highlight (if you can say that) of the day was when we stopped to get gas at Costco and sat in the parking lot for 1 1/4 hours waiting to get out. Obviously, everyone had cabin fever that day.
Saturday, we ventured out again to take a look at the house. Surprisingly enough, stuff had been done. Apparently the blizzard didn't scare off everybody. We were happy to see that the wood floors had been stained, the kitchen counters and sink had been installed, and the shelves in the closet hade been put in. We also, finally, have a mostly complete exterior part of the house (we're still missing our side garage door). We can't believe that the house will be complete in a matter of a few weeks.
Besides our expeditions out, we have had a very pleasant stay indoors. As you can see, the blizzard hasn't even affected Lexie! We're excited to leave for Utah tomorrow and have a change of scenery. We wish you all a wonderful Christmas and an awesome New Year!!!!!!!!!!!

How exciting! When is your actual move in date? I guess it wont be too much fun to move with all that snow, but who cares- you have a house! Hope you had a Merry Christmas!
I'm glad that the blizzard was an adventure and not a huge hassle. Good attitudes! We drove through a blizzard to get to Oregon. By the way, my friends call me Santa!
