In preparation for our new couch coming on Tuesday, we solicited the help of Aaron and Robyn Powell to paint our family room. Tracie did a lot of the taping in preparation, and the whole process only took a few hours.

Thanks a lot to Aaron and Robyn, who made the process go quickly and a lot of fun.

We rearranged our TV and computer, and will post pictures of the full room once the couch arrives.

Besides that, not much else happened this week. Lots of work, a little snow, some cold temperatures, filing our taxes, putting up with 12 crazy four-year-olds in Primary, and much to Brett's surprise, not one game of Mario Party!!!

wow that is absoulutley amazing i cant believe it call up guiness world records or something ha ha psyche
The painting turned out nice! I think it's interesting how different the color looks in the day picture and the night picture. What is the name of the shade you chose? I'm sure it was nice to have the helpers.
Can't wait to see the complete finishing "product".
It was named Nomadic Desert.
"It responds to changes in light to represent the ever-changing desertlandscape that is home to the nomadic peoples of the world."
When will you start working on the babies room!!!??
Wait, so not only was nomadic desert the title of your post, but it was also the name of your paint shade! That would definitely explain it!
As for the dog strategy: it has serious potential, but like you said, Shitzus aren't really gaurd dogs. I'm going for the whole "keep me company when you're out of town and kids are in bed" strategy. Jer just doesn't want to have a smelly, poopy back yard for when the kids go out and play. That's hard to argue against.
